Royals put Soria on DL, recall reliever McCarthy from minors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) The Kansas City Royals have placed reliever Joakim Soria on the disabled list with a left oblique strain and recalled right-hander Kevin McCarthy from Triple-A Omaha.
