The Boston Celtics are reportedly hiring Brooklyn Nets’ assistant Ime Udoka as their next head coach. Udoka originally comes from Gregg Popovich’s coaching tree in San Antonio with the Spurs, and spent time with Celtics’ stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown at the 2019 FIBA World Cup for Team USA. Udoka reportedly separated himself quickly from Los Angeles Clippers’ assistant Chauncey Billups and other candidates for the job to replace Brad Stevens. Skip Bayless grades the Celtics’ hire and explains why Udoka is a good coaching fit in Boston.
