The Chicago Cubs took a 3-2 lead over the Pittsburgh Pirates thanks to a two-out RBI single from Matt Duffy in the seventh inning. Closer Craig Kimbrel stayed lights out as he shut down the Pirates in the ninth inning. The former elite closer has now tossed 14 innings, allowing just one run and five hits this season.
