Coach Goes Through Handshake Line Alone After Wild Brawl At The End Of Siena-Rider Game

Sportsmanship is about putting aside petty differences, respecting your opponents, and, sometimes, shaking hands with a bunch of ghosts. Siena beat Rider tonight in some hot MAAC action, and at the end of the game, things got real feisty real quick. Rider guard Anthony Durham landed a nasty jab and the kerfuffle…

Wait A Second, Where The Hell Is Perry Ellis?

Folks, it’s time to address the elephant in the room. For the past three months, I’ve remained silent on this issue, foolishly thinking, hoping, that the NCAA would right their clear-as-day mistake and fix college basketball. But no. It’s January 17, three weeks into conference play, and I have yet to see Perry Ellis.

UConn is a dynasty and already seems like a lock to secure a slot in the national championship come April. UConn Huskies Complete Another 90-Game Winning Streak

The UConn women’s basketball program is so perennially dominant that its only real competition at this point is past iterations of Geno Auriemma’s team. The current Huskies proved they’re still the best in basketball Tuesday night with their 90th-consecutive win—an NCAA record matched only by the UConn women of…

Indiana committed 14 turnovers and lost to Maryland Wednesday, falling to 1-3 in Big Ten play after starting the season No. 11 in the nation and climbing as high as No. 3. Hoosiers guard OG Anunoby was largely unspectacular off the bench, contributing just five points on 2-of-9 shooting; he did, however, manage to…

The ESPN Voices Feed Really Is Something

ESPN threw Bill Walton onto its ESPN Voices feed of tonight’s national championship game, and the basketball legend—clad in an Uncle Sam costume—has spent the game asking basic questions about which teams are playing, who the quarterbacks are, and where the game is being played all on top of other panelists’…

ACC: "There Is Nothing Conclusive" About Grayson Allen's Latest Dirty Footwork

Grayson Allen’s “indefinite” suspension for lunatic play turned out to be only one game, and just one game after his return, it looks as if that may not have been long enough for him to learn his lesson. During yesterday’s game against Boston College, the junior was involved in something that looks to me more like an…

Missouri, Georgia Coaching Staffs Fight

The Missouri and Georgia coaching staffs got into an old-man brawl at the end of the first half of today’s game between the Tigers and Bulldogs in Athens, with referee Karl Hess even inserting himself into the ruckus and shoving people in what his mind we’re sure passes for an attempt to restore order.

All it took for Duke to end the “indefinite suspension” of star shooting guard/humility-themed motivational poster Grayson Allen was one loss to Virginia Tech. Allen was suspended after Duke’s Dec. 22 win over Elon for tripping yet another opponent (this is somewhat of a habit for Allen), and coach Mick Krizilonski

Dillon Brooks Nails Second Coolest Three-Pointer Of His Career

Through 14 games, Oregon forward Dillon Brooks has taken a step to the side or backwards in nearly all major offensive categories—his long ball is hitting just 30 percent of the time. Still, as he has throughout his career, the third-year player from Ontario has focused on basketball’s fundamental tasks, like pissing off Coach K and draining nasty buzzer-beaters, and it’s working out for the 12-2 Ducks.
