Former Patriots coach Rod Rust passed away on Tuesday at the age of 90, the team announced Wednesday. Rust was New England’s defensive coordinator from 1983 to 1987 and head coach for one season in 1990. The Patriots were 1-15 in 1990. Rust was also a defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs
