Love of game motivates Jets' ageless Gore in 16th NFL season

A running joke around the NFL is that Frank Gore will play football forever. The 37-year-old Gore is a rarity in a brutally physical business that often forces players 10 years younger than he is – or more – to find a new profession. Instead, he’s back for his 16th season in the pros and first with the New York Jets, and approaches training camp with the passion and enthusiasm of a rookie.

Griffin one of the anchors in Seahawks' remodeled secondary

When Shaquill Griffin arrived in Seattle, he was supposed to be part of the new era in an effort by the Seahawks to build the next generation of their standout secondary. Training camps have a different feel in this age of COVID-19

From the antimicrobial mist the Denver Broncos strolled through on their way to the practice fields to the hand-held whistles for masked-up coaches, NFL training camps have a very different look and feel this year. The league is spending tens of millions of dollars on daily COVID-19 testing, and some of the protocols put in place to navigate the coronavirus crisis have cost some prospects whatever long shot they had at making a roster. Linebacker Cam Smith tested positive for the virus when he reported to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, and head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman recommended he get an echocardiogram.
